There is another aspect to the routinization of ideology which I s t r e s s . Ideology becomes robed in the cloth of culture and is no longer a dimension of the radical transformation of a social order, but it is rather intricately engaged in the reproduction of social and political inequalities.

People do not proselytize their culture, but they do proselytize ideology. In the overt and observable ideological process, ideas are held consciously and openly before action, guiding but not determining the organization of action. g. G e e r t z 1973).
